Audition Information
Auditions for the 2011-2012 season are now closed.
The first step in the audition process is the collection of choral/vocal resumes which need approval before auditions are scheduled. Resumes can be sent as a Word document, PDF, or in the body of an e-mail. All choral and vocal experiences should be listed with the names of the conductors and/or Artistic Directors. Send resumes to info@singersmca.org.
Singers may be invited to a fifteen-minute initial audition which will include one prepared art song (any language), sight-reading (tonal and atonal), tonal memory, and general vocalizations. Singers should bring their own accompanist or be prepared to sing a cappella. Candidates will then be selected for the secondary group callback audition.
The Singers is a fully-professional choir. Members receive a stipend for each rehearsal, concert, and recording session. It is preferable that auditionees have professional or collegiate choral experience on their resume. Members are responsible for purchasing their performance attire.
