The Singers on the road to ACDA
On Friday, March 11, The Singers will appear in concert at the national convention of the American Choral Directors Assn. in Chicago. It is a huge honor for us to be invited to sing for thousands of our peers from around the country at the marvelously ornate Orchestra Hall! The 4-day convention includes auditory delights such as Helmut Rilling conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Anton Armstrong leading St. Olaf’s singers and instrumentalists in a multi-denominational Christian church service and the premiere of the Steven Sametz Brock Memorial Commission (ACDA’s most prestigious composer’s award)sung by Chanticleer. We’d love to see some familiar MN faces there, so if you plan to attend, please be sure to stop and say hello!
